Wood properties:
The heartwood is brown-yellow, or dark brown. The sapwood is light yellow. Texture evenly structured with straight or oblique grains.Easy sawing, slow drying, machining difficulties due to irregular grain, wood bending moderate, good gluing, nailing good (good holding properties), good finishing;
Afromosia enjoys features of high hardness, stability, worm-proof and so it's a substitute of burma teak in many applications as "African Teak" by some manufacturers,or builders;
Its density: 0.70-0.86g/cm3;
it's recommended not to be in contact with ferrous metals for the sake of shunning discoloration.

Decorative veneer, furniture, interior and exterior joinery, stairs, house flooring, boat building.
