The installation phase is equally critical – using no‑added‑formaldehyde adhesives, properly sealing the vapour barrier, and allowing at least two weeks of thorough ventilation before moving in can greatly reduce indoor pollutant concentrations.

For families with pregnant women, infants, or allergy sufferers, consider laying an activated‑carbon felt or diatomaceous earth mat under the floor to help adsorb residual harmful gases. In daily cleaning, use a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter to avoid stirring up dust. Choosing a “breathable” healthy wood floor is the first line of defence for your family’s lungs.
